Security Officer Patrol - Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol in Hilo, Hawaii, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other settings. In an unarmed healthcare role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role calls for exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely responses to security-related concerns. The position is full-time and pays $22.58 per hour. The posted schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and facility access according to site-specific requirements.
- Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
