As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and parking facility users by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, parking issues, and unusual activity at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout parking areas, entrances, exits, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor activity at the transportation location, document incidents and/or observations, and communicate with site contacts, employees, and first responders as needed.
  • Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow in assigned areas, help support orderly operations during peak periods, and follow post orders related to restricted areas, reporting procedures, and after-hours activity.
