About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer Patrol in Newell, West Virginia, at a chemical/petrochemical location. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring access points, verifying badges and authorization, and conducting routine patrols. The role includes maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, supporting a welcoming environment, and following site-specific security and emergency procedures. The scheduled hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday through Friday. Pay is $17.10 per hour, with a $250 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days of service. The position requires at least one year of security-related experience. Applicants must be at least 18 for an unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, processing areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter boundaries to identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site policies and procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required logs and reports.
