About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Duty in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine tours, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support tenants, guests, and staff through strong communication and customer service while bringing reliability, integrity, and teamwork to every shift in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• No Visible Tattoos / Piercings

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating relevant details to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout building common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and support property rules and after-hours access procedures in accordance with site expectations.
• Assist with routine reports, incident notes, and daily activity logs, while maintaining a professional presence and providing courteous assistance to people on site.
