About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer Patrol Driver for a manufacturing and industrial location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and responding to alarms. The role requires driving and a valid driver’s license; the posting specifies at least one year with a clean driving record. The position pays $17.74 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The officer will provide customer service and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and documenting activity and shift handoffs. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and drug screening, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns to site leadership.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
