About The Position

As a Security Officer Part Time Dispatch Console in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatcher supporting a dynamic technology and media location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and dispatch personnel to support security-related operations. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
  • Monitor communications systems, alarms, and/or access-related notifications; receive calls for service and dispatch appropriate personnel according to established site procedures.
  • Document incidents, service requests, unusual activity, and critical situations accurately in required logs and reporting systems; communicate timely updates to site leadership and responding personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and/or internal teams as directed by site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, and communications-related areas as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
