About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as retail and malls. At a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position also involves delivering customer service, communicating professionally, and supporting a welcoming environment. The position is part-time and pays $18.00 per hour. Scheduled hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify store personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and location procedures.
Assist with access control, crowd management, and maintaining an orderly customer environment during routine operations, busy periods, and special events.
