About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Syracuse, New York, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. In an unarmed security role at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The role supports a caring environment through teamwork, reliable service, clear communication, and integrity. The position pays $23.44 per hour and follows a daytime schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least six months of security-related experience is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to identify and report unusual conditions or concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with location policies.
Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
