Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. In this dynamic role, you will deliver customer service with integrity, work as part of a team, and bring a caring, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor assigned areas for policy compliance, assist with directing foot traffic and/or visitor movement, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Support healthcare operations by providing visible presence, offering assistance with routine inquiries, and reporting maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
