As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol Driver in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a healthcare location, where you will help monitor entry points, perform screening activities, support security-related operations, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • This position is in a hospital morgue environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting patients, visitors, and staff, verifying entry requirements, and supporting site-specific screening procedures at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct screening activities for guests, vendors, and personnel, including reviewing access criteria, directing foot traffic, and communicating entry instructions in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, elevated concerns, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and designated access points to help support security-related procedures, visitor management practices, and organized movement throughout the location.
  • Document screening-related activities, unusual incidents, and policy concerns, and provide clear reports to supervisors and/or designated site contacts as needed.
