As a Security Officer Medical Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • This position is in a hospital setting and may involve work in and around the morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with visitor direction, badge and credential checks, and other security-related support functions as assigned.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by communicating with staff and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, and facility-related events while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
