Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control authorized access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site leadership and Allied Universal management as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to identify security-related concerns.
  • Document visitor activity, access-related incidents, and daily observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to staff and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
