As a Security Officer Patrol Guard in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through strong customer service, clear communication, and attention to detail while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including warehouse areas, entrances, parking lots, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or operational concerns that could impact the location, and report security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Assist with traffic flow, visitor and vendor entry, and/or employee screening processes as directed by site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
