About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Operations Associate in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk of an educational location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting students, faculty, staff, and visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing foot traffic according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support visitor management processes while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions at the location.
  • Maintain awareness of lobby and entry activity, assist with alarms, calls, and/or requests for assistance, and follow post orders for after-hours access, deliveries, and special events.
