About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will greet visitors, manage access control, monitor activity at the entrance, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support security-related operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while helping to create a welcoming and well-organized environment.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, greet visitors, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry in accordance with site protocols.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support employees, guests, and vendors with sign-in processes, visitor logs, badges, and other front desk administrative tasks.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Observe activity at the front desk and adjacent entry points, document security-related events, and report concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
