About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Desk Attendant in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a hotel and resort location, you will be the first point of contact for guests, residents, and staff, helping create a welcoming atmosphere while supporting security-related operations. This stationary role involves monitoring access, observing activity, assisting with questions, and communicating clearly and professionally. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk location.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify visitor access as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional front desk presence and clear communication.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Support access control functions by checking credentials, issuing visitor badges or passes when required, and maintaining accurate front desk logs and reports.
  • Assist with answering questions, giving directions, and coordinating with hotel personnel on security-related matters while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
