About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Monitor in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, greet arriving individuals, verify access permissions, and direct guests to the appropriate destination within the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support visitor management activities such as maintaining guest logs, issuing temporary access credentials, and communicating with building personnel regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or service requests.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing front desk activity, maintaining awareness of entry points, and following property procedures for access control and escalations.
