As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as a Front Desk professional, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, support security-related procedures, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor the front desk area, manage visitor check-in and sign-in processes, verify identification, and direct guests to the appropriate contact or department.
  • Answer phones, support incoming inquiries, maintain access records and visitor logs, and report unusual activity, incidents, and/or concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry points, following badge and credential procedures, and communicating with site personnel regarding access-related issues.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a professional manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and documenting events as needed.
