As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as a Front Desk professional, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this highly visible role, you will help create a welcoming environment, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and deliver with teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting guests, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate destination.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site policies and documenting security-related activity as required.
  • Support daily front desk operations by answering questions, coordinating with building staff and/or management, and helping to deter unauthorized access within the location.
  • Observe lobby and reception area activity, report unusual behavior or facility issues, and complete required reports with accuracy and professionalism.
