As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, front desk policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify credentials, assist with sign-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, provide directions, and support front desk operations while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, management, and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete required logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report maintenance issues, access concerns, and/or suspicious behavior according to site-specific policies.
