Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk, monitoring access activity, and following site-specific security-related procedures for a healthcare location.
  • Verify identification, issue visitor badges or passes as directed, maintain front desk logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and help to deter unauthorized access by observing the lobby and entrance area, reporting suspicious behavior, and documenting security-related events according to post guidelines.
