As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a cultural institution location as a Front Desk professional, serving as a welcoming first point of contact for guests, staff, and visitors. You will support access control, monitor activity from a stationary post, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, verifying appointments and/or access permissions, and carrying out site-specific procedures at the front desk location.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor logs, and credential checks to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly arrival and departure activity.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Observe lobby and reception activity, monitor cameras and/or alarm indicators when assigned, and report unusual behavior or maintenance issues to the appropriate contact.
  • Support special services, gatherings, and scheduled activities by directing guests, sharing location information, and following post instructions for front desk coverage.
