Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor management activities, and/or emergency response support when appropriate.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting students, staff, visitors, and vendors, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing guests according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues through proper channels.
• Support a professional and welcoming environment at an educational location by assisting with entry procedures, answering basic questions, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive front desk presence.
