About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Hospital Visitor Services officer in a government healthcare setting in the Bronx, New York. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. The listed pay range is $17.87–$18.87 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, entrances, public areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, staff, first responders, and government personnel while helping maintain a welcoming and orderly environment.
