Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor access materials, and direct guests in accordance with location policies for a financial services environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate concerns through established communication channels.
  • Answer phones, manage sign-in records, and support access control processes while documenting security-related events and unusual activity.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible front desk presence, observing incoming and outgoing traffic, and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
