Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific policies, front desk procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, issue passes as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, direct individuals to appropriate departments, and maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required front desk records.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
  • Observe activity in assigned reception and common areas, report unusual conditions or policy concerns, and support security-related procedures related to deliveries, appointments, and visitor movement.
