About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Controller in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Dispatch Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will coordinate communications, monitor incoming information, and help direct response resources for security-related incidents. You will maintain accurate activity records, communicate professionally with personnel and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and incidents to assigned personnel using established communication protocols.
  • Monitor communications systems, cameras, and other available systems; document incidents, dispatch activity, and relevant information in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit operations, emergency responders, and law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
