About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Front Desk Security Officer for a retail location in Rochester, Minnesota. The officer serves as a welcoming, visible presence and helps maintain a secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors. The role involves managing access, greeting and assisting guests, communicating professionally, and reporting security-related concerns. The listed pay rate is $21.80 per hour, with scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Security licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security protocols at the front desk.
Greet visitors, verify credentials and appointments, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
Monitor front desk activity, alarms, cameras, and communications systems as assigned, and report unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established emergency response procedures.
Direct visitors, answer routine questions, receive deliveries as assigned, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized access.
