About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges, manage visitor access, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain a visible presence, perform routine observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, process visitor entry, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter points, as post orders allow.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptions by maintaining awareness of access activity and reporting concerns through proper channels.
