As a Security Officer Entry Control in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification protocols, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize approved access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with post procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading zones, and perimeter points, with awareness of changing industrial working conditions.
  • Support daily operations by reporting unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns related to doors, gates, locks, and other access control equipment.
