As a Security Officer Entry Control Specialist in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this role, you will help address security-related concerns through strong communication, visible presence, and attention to detail. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in daily operations while delivering dependable service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or authorized entry in accordance with site policies and posted procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, entrance areas, loading zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Document daily activities, unusual events, and/or policy-related concerns, helping to support orderly operations and timely follow-up.
