About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, vehicle gates, and/or visitor processing areas to help support authorized access and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicate with site contacts, and complete required reports and logs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for maintenance concerns, restricted area issues, and/or conditions that could impact operations.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, traffic and vehicle screening, and delivery coordination in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
