About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor access points, vehicle gates, and/or visitor processing areas to help support authorized access and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or security-related issues.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicate with site contacts, and complete required reports and logs.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for maintenance concerns, restricted area issues, and/or conditions that could impact operations.
Assist with emergency response activities, traffic and vehicle screening, and delivery coordination in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
