Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a residential location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify access, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. This role combines attentive presence, customer service, and clear communication while helping to address security-related concerns. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a residential location, verify authorization for visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of post orders.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the community, amenities, and perimeter to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support security-related operations.
• Communicate clearly with residents, visitors, contractors, and/or local responders while maintaining professional presence and following established protocols for access requests and incident response.
