About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, screening entrants, verifying identification and/or appointments, and following site-specific access procedures at a government location.
  • Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by observing visitor activity, checking permitted items, and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete required logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with staff, guests, and public visitors regarding security-related procedures and expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building entrance, lobby areas, and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions and reporting security-related issues or hazards.
