As a Security Officer Entry Control Point in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and remain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access throughout the residential location.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues according to site procedures.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and/or unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or Allied Universal personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting conditions that may require attention.
