About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Point Monitor in Gretna, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including docks, gates, trailer yards, and perimeter areas, with attention to unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by helping to manage vehicle access, directing visitors and carriers to designated areas, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
