About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control Guard in Elm Grove, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site access with strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or screening points to help control authorized access, verify credentials, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, trailer areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Support shipping and receiving area operations by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, helping manage entry and exit activity, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
