Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and site personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle access, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related activity in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, docks, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
