About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Driver for an assigned site in Totowa, New Jersey. The part-time position offers a designated weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule and requires a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as much as 40 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

The role involves providing customer service while following security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
