About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Communication in Jersey City, New Jersey. The position offers a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may provide up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The listed pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
