About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Screening Specialist for an assigned food and beverage site in Waimanalo, Hawaii. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary with extra shifts, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $18.12 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs access screening, monitoring, patrol, and incident-response duties according to site procedures. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing may be required before employment; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas, verify authorized access, and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors as appropriate.
• Monitor entry points, deliveries, and visitor activity to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting security concerns, hazards, and unusual activity according to site procedures.
