About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Associate in Honolulu, Hawaii. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, offering reliable base hours and the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary week to week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The posted pay rate is $18.12 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The associate provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, screens people and permitted items entering the site, monitors access points, responds to incidents, and conducts patrols. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the applicable minimum age requirement. A guard card or license and customer service experience are preferred. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen to the extent permitted by law; state or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, deliveries, and permitted items entering the location according to site procedures, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit operations for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and communicating observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
