About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Associate for an assigned site in Tampa, Florida. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role is intended for candidates seeking part-time work with consistent scheduled hours and flexibility to increase their hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week.

The associate provides customer service and performs site-specific screening procedures at a healthcare location, helping patients, visitors, staff, and vendors comply with access requirements. The position pays $17.75 per hour and has a scheduled daytime Thursday shift from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may need to be satisfied before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and their belongings according to healthcare location procedures, communicating instructions clearly and professionally.
• Verify visitor access requirements and direct patients, visitors, and vendors to appropriate entrances, departments, and check-in locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, prohibited-item concerns, and emergency situations, notifying appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate screening-related documentation and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and equipment issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
