About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Concierge for an assigned healthcare location in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role combines front-desk customer service with security procedures and emergency response. The position has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $19.23 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors at the healthcare location’s front desk while following security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor facility access, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Observe front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, visitor interactions, incidents, and communications according to site requirements.
