Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
  • Monitor visitors, staff, contractors, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access and directing individuals according to established post orders and facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, remaining alert to unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
  • Support emergency response activities by following site procedures, controlling access during elevated situations, and assisting with orderly movement throughout the location.
