About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Console Specialist in Milpitas, California, you will support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will coordinate communications, monitor site activity, respond to security-related needs, and provide customer service. You will help maintain records, support access control operations, and act as a point of contact for employees and visitors. This is a part-time position scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, paying $27.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm notifications, and other communications; dispatch personnel and/or resources according to established procedures.
Maintain dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation using site systems and communication tools.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate updates to site leadership, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal management as appropriate.
Monitor site activity through cameras, access-control systems, and/or other tools; report unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
