About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Data Center Security Professional to support security operations at a data center. The role conducts unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols in interior and exterior areas, controls access and egress, monitors closed-circuit television and alarm systems, prepares reports, deters criminal activity and misconduct, and performs other duties specified in post orders. The position provides customer service, responds to emergency and routine events, documents activities, supports the data center during inclement weather or infrastructure interruptions, and helps ensure visitors and employees follow access procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• At least two years of physical security experience within the last five years.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications.
• Fluent ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Proficiency using technology such as desktop computers and mobile applications to document activities and tasks.
• Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
• Ability to analyze high-stress situations quickly and efficiently, communicate events appropriately, and dispatch the proper teams to determine a course of action.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

• Military or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service by following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Handle emergency situations and provide safety guidance and direction to clients and customers.
• Answer and respond to events and situations received in person, by phone, or by radio.
• Document routine and unusual events occurring at or near the facilities using shift reports, pass-down logs, incident report logs, or other established methods.
• Provide security support to the data center during inclement weather or other infrastructure interruptions.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Ensure people entering and exiting the office space sign in correctly by assigning appropriate badges and applying approved compliance codes.
• Mitigate unwanted intruders and ensure visitors are escorted.
• Control access and egress, monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems, deter criminal activity and misconduct, and perform other duties specified in post orders.
