About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
  • Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and document access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, business operations spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for visitor activity, incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
