As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen and direct delivery drivers, contractors, and vendors to designated areas while helping to support orderly traffic flow and controlled access to the facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, the business, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, damaged barriers, or other security-related concerns.
