About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control in WINCHESTER, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, provide outstanding customer service, and help to deter incidents through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
Monitor access points, truck gates, and receiving areas to help support authorized movement of people, vehicles, and merchandise throughout the facility.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter, noting conditions that could impact daily operations.
Assist with emergency response activities, visitor processing, and communication with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
